Our Mission to Teenagers
RunawayTeens.org's mission is to help educate teenagers about the risks they face in today's world. Drugs, Violence, Prostitution, Abuse, Pornography, and more face teens today, especially those that run away from home or are told to leave. Being on your own is not all it's cracked up to be. We want teens to realize this.

Our Mission to Parents
Parents need to pay attention to the warning signs that their teenager may be thinking of running away and they need to take steps to avoid this as if their son's or daughter's life depends on it, because it does. No parent should ever ask their teenager to leave. Think. Get counseling. Do whatever it takes to get your relationship with your son or daughter back on track. If it means giving up a career, a business, or anything else, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you have an obligation to put your children first. They are God's children. They are entrusted to you to raise. Don't mess this up.

Our Mission to the Public
To create a website that will help them explore and learn what the facts and myths are about teens who run away from home. This website will also be used to provide statistical data to those studying the issue. Many people think teens running away from home or being kicked out of their house is not a major problem. They are wrong. Please read the information, whether you have children or not. Learn what happens to these teenagers and why it happens.

RunawayTeens.org is a project of The Kidsearch Network.
The Kidsearch Network has a lot of experience in searching for and finding runaway teens and returning them home to their parents. RunawayTeens.org was created with the primary goal of runaway prevention, but also to help find teens who are missing, so we can return them home safely.
The U.S. Department of Justice estimates that between 100,000 and 3 million teens are prostituted in the United States each year. We find these types of statistics are unacceptable and are working to make the public more aware of the nature and size of this problem. Click here for more statistics.
